WWE TLC 2017 Drinking Game

I’m sure glad this didn’t go up before now. Could you imagine having a drinking game that had two of it’s matches changed? Well we’ve avoided that crisis so let’s enjoy the madness of WWE TLC 2017.

As usual, this game is presented as a fun way to try to predict the results of an upcoming WWE PPV. We obviously do not advocate actually playing this game due to the extreme nature of the challenge presented here. In other words, don’t try this at home.

Standard Turn Heel WWE PPV drinking game rules apply for the WWE TLC 2017 Drinking Game: If you’re playing on “Easy Mode” take a sip of beer or of a mixed drink when the game calls for it. If you’re playing on “Hardcore Mode” take a full shot of hard liquor or down an entire can/bottle of beer each time the game calls for it.

ADDITIONAL DISCLAIMER: Only partake in the consumption of adult beverages if you are of legal age in your locale! (Hi, Facebook!)

WWE TLC 2017 Drinking Game – Kickoff Show

Due to the odd nature of this week this is all up to the last minute card info… here are some general rules though first:

Take a shot:

If Sam Roberts is on the desk

Every time the word “Medalist” is uttered

If any of the rumored quarantined Superstars appear at the desk

Take 2 shots:

If Gallows and Anderson are M.I.A. during Kickoff and more likely, the entire damn show

If Mumps is mentioned

If Kurt Angle appears on the Kickoff Show

Take 3 shots:

If Triple H appears on the Kickoff Show

Take 4 shots:

If any of the announced matches covered in this drinking game are somehow moved to the Kickoff Show

Down an entire bottle:

If Meningitis is confirmed by the Kickoff Show

Drew Gulak to present a WWE Cruiserweight Championship Edition of his PowerPoint Presentation

Take a shot:

For each “HA” chant that breaks out

If we get through more than one slide

If Tozawa comes out to a Titus Worldwide formatted entrance

Take 2 shots:

Each time Gulak softballs one up to the fans

Each time Tozawa ‘HA’s” in Gulak’s face

If a match breaks out

Take 3 shots:

If Gulak wins impromptu match

If anyone gets hit with the “No Chants” sign

Take 4 shots:

If the “Championship” edition has nothing to do with the Cruiserweight Title

Prediction: While I love the PowerPoint schtick, I feel this is just a lazy attempt at getting Tozawa to beat up Gulak and not actually capitalize on what Gulak was promoting leading up to TLC.

Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox (Kickoff Match)

Take a shot:

Each time that Fox gets offense in

If Fox debuts a new entrance and packaging

Take 2 shots:

If the match lasts more than 5 minutes

If Fox snaps or whatever we call the little fits she throws

Take 3 shots:

If this match does nothing for story progression

If this match somehow goes more than 10 minutes

If the match never starts

Prediction: What is the point of this match? I guess Banks goes over, but it could easily be Fox and make no sense. Where’s the direction in the Women’s division outside of Bliss and Asuka?

WWE TLC 2017 Drinking Game

Six main show matches is a healthy number. I could see a filler match happening though. Here’s some general rules:

Take a shot:

Each time the announcers mention “TLC”

Each time you see a spinning chair screen wipe

Take a celebratory shot:

If you here “SAY YEAH” and the Revival return in some capacity

If any match adds a Table, Ladder, or Chair stip

Take 3 shots:

If this show ends early

If someone debuts

If someone returns

Take 4 shots:

If this show somehow runs past 11pm Eastern

If the 3 on 5 TLC is not the longest match

Take 10 shots:

If this is the Fan Service PPV it could be

Cedric Alexander & Rich Swann vs. Gentleman Jack Gallagher & The Brian Kendrick

Take a shot:

If either team comes out together.

If drinking another man’s milkshake is mentioned

For each Headbutt

For each Sliced Bread No. 2 that’s countered

If Alexander and Swann match

Take 2 shots:

If any other Cruiserweight accompany a team

If anyone gets banned from ringside by the referee

Take 3 shots:

If Alexander goes over clean with a Lumbar Check

Take 4 shots:

If Swann goes over clean

If the match ends in a DQ

Take 5 shots:

If Gallagher comes out in ring gear not clothes

Prediction: I think we all wanted a Cruiserweight Ladder match right? Would have been a lot cooler and this match just feels like a special 205 Live match. Maybe they’ll let the guys go a lot more and at least make it more entertaining.

Asuka vs. Emma

Take a shot:

If Asuka wins in quick fashion

If the pop of the night is for Asuka

Each mention of Social Media

Take 2 shots:

If Emma makes this match interesting.

Each time Michael Cole says “Empress of Tomorrow”

If Asuka wins but match lasted over 5 minutes

Take 3 shots:

Each hip attack

Commentary says the word “Streak”

Take 4 shots:

If Asuka wins but match lasted over 10 minutes

If Emma never scores a two count.

Take 10 shots:

If Emma wins

Prediction: This should be a glorified squash for Asuka in her debut. No way that Emma gives her the trouble. Over 5 minutes but under 10 and Asuka just picks Emma apart. Get her in the title picture.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Kalisto vs. Enzo Amore

Take a shot:

If Kalisto’s music changes again

If Daivari joins Enzo

If Enzo does a pre-match promo

If this match kicks off the main show

Take 4 shots:

Kalisto wins

Take 5 shots:

Enzo wins

Take 6 shots:

Daivari turns on victorious Enzo

Prediction: Kalisto has been a serviceable champion this run but I feel it does not have a long shelf life. Enzo wins his belt back and will finally have to face someone from the pissed off original 205 roster.

“The Demon” Finn Bálor vs. AJ Styles

Take a shot:

If commentary says “Dream Match”

If any Bullet Club innuendo is done

If Gallows and Anderson are involved at all

If this is match of the night

Take 2 shots:

If AJ wins clean

If Club members interfere at all

Take 3 shots:

If this is the first match of the night

If Balor wins

Take 4 shots:

If the guys share a moment and either 2 Sweet or handgun gesture each other.

Break out and finish the Fall Seasonal Drinks:

Pumpkin Balor

Prediction: This will the be markiest match of the night for sure. Balor winning would make the most sense since this is a Raw show but just because WWE will probably try to capitalize on the buzz this match will create, it could go either way.

Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James

Take a shot:

Bliss wins.

Bliss wins and it is decisive.

Each Mick Kick

Take 2 shots:

If this is the longest match of the night

If this match is shorter than Asuka’s

If Mickie makes a match out of this.

If this match is more than a holdover waiting for Asuka

Take 3 shots:

If this match is longer than 10 minutes

If the match is decided by DQ

Take 4 shots:

Mickie James wins

Prediction: While it would be cool to have Mickie win that 7th time, the likelihood of it is very small and this match is more or less a vehicle to wait for Asuka to take on Alexa Bliss at Survivor Series to culminate Asuka’s meteoric rise.

Kurt Angle & Raw Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins vs. Intercontinental Champion The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman & Kane (5-on-3 Handicap Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match)

Take a shot:

Each choke slam

Each time there is in-fighting

If Kurt looks like he hasn’t missed a beat

Each Suplex

Down the entire bottle/can/glass:

Each time Kurt goes through a table, is hit with a chair, or does a spot off the ladder.

Prediction: This match is great on paper but boy am I worried that Kurt is going right into a TLC match as his return. He’s a world class athlete still though so hopefully he will have a great turnout. This should be a fun match and the Kurt Shield should go over and build to a match at Survivor Series.

Well, that’s our WWE TLC 2017 Drinking Game. Hopefully, you can pace yourselves. It’ll be another after dark session for yours truly. Use #TLCAfterDark to join the conversation with me @GrahamCoffelt. Let’s hope everyone stays healthy and injury free tonight, this has been a bad week enough for that.
